Do Marriage Officers have to be registered?

All persons wishing to perform marriages in this Island must be registered as a Marriage Officer.

 What is required to be registered as a Marriage Officer?

• The applicant must be an ordained minister and is affiliated to a denomination.
• The applicant must complete an application form.  Application forms are obtained from the Registration Department.
• Applicant and the Head of the Denomination must sign the application form.
• Applications must be returned to the Registration Department where they are submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs for approval.
